For those that want to start developing in .NET but don't want to pay up hundreds of dollars just to try out Visual Studio 2008 download the Visual Studio 2008 Express Editions here: http://www.microsoft.com/express/

You can dowload various .NET editions such as one for c#, VB.NET or even download the professional edition with 3 month trial.
